'Lords Of Salem' - Upcoming Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie has agreed to direct forthcoming horror thriller The Lords of Salem.

According to Deadline, the project is a co-production of Alliance Films and Haunted Films, the company run by the makers of Paranormal Activity, Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Oren Peli.

Salem is set in modern day Salem, MA, where an ancient coven of witches returns to haunt the town's residents.

Zombie is also penning the script for the movie, which is scheduled to begin filming next year.

"What excited me most was Jason saying, 'You can have total control over the script, casting and final cut'. I said I’m in," Zombie said.

The filmmaker/musician decided to move ahead with Salem after scrapping plans to remake The Blob.

He added: "I wanted to break away from anything related to pre-existing material."

When Zombie is free to Create the script and cast, I think this gonna be a fucking good Movie ! I´m excited !
