First off I would to say hello, my name is Cotie and I'm known as Phantom Stranger on http://www.perversion99.com/. How are you today?
Here are some questions I would be curious if you'd answer. Thanks.
- How did you first meet Rob Zombie? And what was your first impression?
- Quote :
- I was in this band back in the day, and we had the same A&R and manager as White Zombie. We were fortunate enough to open for them while they were out supporting La Sexorcisto. That was a serious opportunity for a small band like us. That was the first time that we met. I remember him and the band being really cool. It was a great experience.
- What is your favorite song you enjoyed performing live?
- Quote :
- Thats a tough one. I would probably say Super Charger Heaven. That or Thunderkiss. There are so many good jams it is hard to pick a favorite.
- From all the sessions in recording (Hellbilly Deluxe, The Sinister urge and Educated Horses) were there any unused demos or ideas? If so could you tell us about them?
- Quote :
- Hmmm, not to my knowledge. I think there was a track called Unholy something or another, but in hind sight he might have used that somewhere.
- What made you want to be a musician and choose bass? And What advice would you give and up and coming musician?
- Quote :
- KISS and Gene Simmons are definitely the reason that I play bass in Heavy Metal bands. No doubt. I was sold the moment I got Destroyer when I was a kid, and seeing that dude spit fire and blood. That was the shit. My best advice is to just get out there and do it. If you are serious about being a full time musician you will have to make some important sacrifices to do so. Most people aren't cut out for it.
-Whats some of your favorite equipment? What was your first bass?
- Quote :
- Haha, my first real bass was a green Kramer flying V. You can see pics of me with it on the Cryptic Slaughter albums.
- How do you enjoy currently working with Ozzy? Trap Door is my favorite song from Black Rain, which is yours?
- Quote :
- Umm, it is the opportunity of a life time. I am very fortunate to be playing with Ozzy right now. It is a truly amazing experience for me.
- Also on a side note Guns N Roses is probably my favorite band and I was curious have you listened to Chinese Democracy yet, if so what are your thoughts?
- Quote :
- I am a fan of the original Guns N' Roses. That was an amazing band. This new record feels more like an Axl Rose solo record or something. Which is fine, but not really what I am into.
- Is there anything that you can tell us about you that you haven't shared before and would be willing to share?
- Quote :
- Hmmm, nope not really.
- Last question, would you ever be interested in signing an item or two for a promotional give away when our fan forum gets started a bit more?
- Quote :
- Sure, why not.
Thank you for sparing some of your time!
You bet. Thanks for the interview.
